SNSF

The SNSF Postdoc.Mobility fellowships support researchers who have completed their doctorate and wish to undertake a research stay abroad to strengthen their scientific independence and international network in view of a future academic career in Switzerland. The scheme provides a grant for living costs, a travel allowance and possible contributions to research and conference expenses. A return grant of three to twelve months can be requested to fund the initial research phase upon return to Switzerland.

Applicants must hold a PhD or MD-PhD (or complete it within nine months), apply within three years of the doctoral defence (eight for medical researchers without MD-PhD), and hold Swiss nationality or an equivalent residence status. Foreign nationals must have at least two years of research activity in Switzerland. The standard duration is twenty-four months abroad and up to one year for the return phase. Applications must be submitted via the mySNF platform in line with the official guidelines.
