The SFIAR Award recognizes outstanding Master’s and PhD research in agricultural research for development, carried out at or in close collaboration with Swiss institutions. By promoting young scientists, the Award strengthens Switzerland’s contribution to sustainable global food systems.

The SFIAR Award 2026 is now open for submissions. The award welcomes interdisciplinary contributions addressing sustainable food systems, including research in areas such as food systems, forestry and environmental sciences.
