The IFOAM Animal Husbandry Alliance (IAHA) invites contributions for the IAHA Conference 2026, held 28–30 April at FiBL in Frick, Switzerland. The English-language event will gather global experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to discuss the future of sustainable animal husbandry.

Climate change is one of today’s biggest challenges, affecting many aspects of agriculture. In a new series, FiBL presents “Voices on Climate”: experts share diverse perspectives on climate and agriculture, highlighting both the role of organic farming and the challenges ahead.

A risk assessment framework based on a global synthesis of food system modeling reveals how individual and combined interventions can reduce the risk of overshooting critical environmental limits—land use, GHG emissions, freshwater use, and nutrient cycles—by 2050.

In April 2025, a team from FiBL initiated a partnership with the Virunga Foundation to support sustainable agriculture in North Kivu, in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Creative ideas are being sought that will help to raise public awareness of the often overlooked but vital importance of soil. Selected proposals will receive financial support for implementation.
